Mangrove



Mangrove Park Pekalongan is located in the Village Coop Long District of North Pekalongan, Pekalongan, Central Java Province, the area was originally a land shrimp farms belonging to the Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Marine Pekalongan that are no longer productive and ultimately developed as a conservation area and a place of education and travel natural.


In 2013, the Minister of Forestry of Indonesia inaugurated the Center for Restoration and Development of Mangrove (PPRM) which is part of the development of agro-tourism area which Pekalongan Mangrove Park. Pekalongan Mangrove Park is actually still not officially opened to the public because it is still under construction. But visitors are allowed to enter into the area of ecotourism.

Once inside the main gate of this area, visitors will be greeted landscape dominated by the expanse of water filled mangrove seedlings in gabion / cart cropping. Upon entry to the site, visitors are provided several options of activities to be done first, whether to visit the headquarters of Mangrove Information (PIM), a walk (and berfotoria) in shelters above water connected by the area on foot, or boating down halls of mangrove trees.



Amenities

Facilities in Pekalongan Mangrove Park, among others:

1. educational facilities in the form of gallery and mangrove forest and a touch pool (pool seeding and planting mangrove education)

3. Land nurseries and nursery plants mangroves and mangrove planting in ponds with gabion system.

4. Facilities productive economic activities in the form of soft-shelled crab cultivation, cultivation of seaweed and Silvofishery (intercropping between fish / shrimp and mangrove)

6. Gasebo and shelter (gazebo floating)

7. Building PIM / PRPM (Restoration and Learning Center Mangrove)

8. Board walker (vehicle tracking) in the form of long wooden bridge that is set to reach the location of PIM objects existing facilities.

9. Green belt (green belt beach) expanse of mangrove forests that are in addition to the physical construction of coastal protection.

10. The observation post amenities such as viewing post rehab existing and additional observation post at a particular location.

11. Planting a variety of coastal vegetation adapted to the type of land.

12. Facilitation of culinary specialties mangrove forests and local food.

13. Facilitation fishing tourism arena.

Mengrove trees that exist in this place not only planted by the government alone, but also by some people who care about the environment in Pekalongan. The management is ready to receive anyone who wants to participate to plant mangrove trees.
