Do Teenagers Really Need a Mobile Phone?

Nowadays, mobile phones are becoming an extremely popular electronic for people. They are also becoming more technologically sophisticated; most can take and share pictures and videos and connect to the Internet for web surfing. Many teenagers are becoming cell phone owners, however. It’s debatable whether a teenager actually needs a mobile phone, but mostly they will say that a phone was essential to their happiness and social standing. Without a mobile phone, the average teenager is unable to function–they can’t talk to their friends and life just isn’t worth living. But before you give in and rush off to buy your petulant teenager a brand new iPhone, read the following list.

One of the reasons of letting a teenager have a mobile phone is because one way of making a teenager do exactly what you want is by using a combination between bribery and blackmail. They will do what you want easily if you offer to put more data on their mobile phone. Second reason is that mobile phone can also be an excellent way of staying in touch with a teenager when they are away from home. Third, many cell phones enable the teenager to access internet. By using this feature, teenagers can obtain answers to questions very quickly and easily.  The last, if a teenager has a mobile phone, they can use it to call for help in a sticky situation for some reason. In such condition, having a cell phone handy could be a lifesaver.

In spite of having some advantages, letting teenagers have a mobile phone has also some disadvantages. First, cheating can be done more easily by using mobile phone since students can search or text the answers under their desks during tests. Second, mobile phones can be very distracting from some important activities in a child’s life such as studying, doing homework, or even crossing the street. Third, sexual content which can be accessed easily is also an issue for parents to consider before giving a mobile phone for their child.

Everything must have its good and bad effect, and mobile phone must too. We need to be wise to use such a sophisticated technology in our lives. As parents, we can set guidelines for our children on when they are able to use their cell phones or give a suitable phone for their age so that we can get more advantages from purchasing a mobile phone for our children.

Why Tv's Program Is Bad for the Kids
"Books are good for children."  "TV is bad for children."  Everyone seems to know this.  In the same way that we know that we should be eating lots of fruits and vegetables and limiting sweets, we all know that kids should spend a lot of time with books and relatively little time with TV.
But why?  Can't kids learn just as much from TV as they do from books?  There is no doubt that TV can be educational.  But one of the unforeseen consequences of TV viewing is reducing how much parents talk with their children.  And diminished parent-child interaction can have negative effects on children, especially when they are young.
In a recent study of toddlers and preschoolers, we observed mothers and their children while they read books, watched a prosocial TV program, or played with toys.  We found TV viewing suppressed both the amount and quality of mother-child communication.  That is, moms made relatively few comments to their children while co-viewing.  When they did speak, their comments were often unrelated to what their child said, thereby creating an unproductive exchange that could hinder children's opportunity for learning.
Moms who read books to their children, however, not only talked significantly more but also used a very high-quality form of communication that included asking questions, labeling objects, affirming their child, and responding to their child's statements or questions with relevant information.  It is important to note that the increased quantity and quality of communication was not due to the fact that moms were reading the words on the pages.  Instead, this difference reflected the communication that occurred above and beyond the actual reading that the mother did with the child.
Playing with toys also elicited a high amount of communication, including some high-quality forms of interaction.  Although not better than books, toy playing was significantly better than shared TV viewing at encouraging communication.
With these results in mind, let's consider the child who spends a good chunk of the day watching TV.  From this perspective, the problem is not necessarily what content, either good or bad, the child has experienced (of course content does make a difference too).  Instead, the problem is what this child is missing.  Young children who watch lots of TV may be missing out on valuable - even crucial - interactions with parents during a critical point in their development.  Parent-child interaction, even with children who can't yet speak, is vital to children's healthy development.
The American Academy of Pedriatics just released their updated TV guidelines for children ages 2 and under.  In their statement, they discourage all TV viewing for children in this age group.  Part of the justification for their recommendation is that TV viewing reduces parent-child communication.
Some parents may believe that they can't offer their children the kinds of educational experiences that TV provides.  But they are wrong.  Children learn the best from real people, especially people who are important to them.  When parents talk with their children, they not only promote their language development but also teach their children that they are valued and important.  Reading books and turning off the TV can facilitate these positive interactions.

How the vulcanic eruption happen?

Volcanic eruptions happen when lava and gas are discharged from a volcanic vent. The most common consequences of this are population movements as large numbers of people are often forced to flee the moving lava flow. Volcanic eruptions often cause temporary food shortages and volcanic ash landslides called Lahar.

The most dangerous type of volcanic eruption is referred to as a 'glowing avalanche'. This is when freshly erupted magma forms hot pyroclastic flow which have temperatures of up to 1,200 degrees. The pyroclastic flow is formed from rock fragments following a volcanic explosion , the flow surges down the flanks of the volcano at speeds of up to several hundred kilometres per hour, to distances often up to 10km and occasionally as far as 40 km from the original disaster site.

The International Federation response adjusts to meet the needs of each specific circumstance. As population movement is often a consequence, the provision of safe areas, shelter, water, food and health supplies are primordial. In general response prioritizes temporary shelter materials; safe water and basic sanitation; food supplies; and the short term provision of basic health services and supplies.
